Rom 5:12, 15-19

TRUTH: God created man holy and under His law. Adam voluntarily broke that law. Therefore all mankind became sinners by choice. By nature we became void of the holiness required by God’s law, inclined to evil and under just condemnation and eternal ruin without excuse. BUT, God redeemed man through faith in Christ.

1. HOLY LIKE GOD
   1. Created in God’s image. Gen 1:27
   2. Spiritual like God. Gen 2:7
   3. Walked with God. Gen 3:8
2. SINFUL LIKE SATAN
   1. Voluntarily disobeyed God. Gen 3:6 Ecc 7:29
   2. Became sinful. Gen 3:8 Rom 5:12; 8:7,8
   3. All mankind chooses to be sinful. Isa 53:6
3. PRIDEFUL LIKE ADAM
   1. Adam blamed God and Eve for his sin. Gen 3:12
   2. Positively incline to evil. Eph 2:1-3
   3. Under just condemnation. Rom 3:9-18
   4. Without excuse. Ezek. 18:19-20. Rom 1:20
4. REDEEMED BY CHRIST
   1. Christ died for our sins. 1 Peter 3:18
   2. Justified freely from sin’s penalty. Rom 3:24
5. RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD
   1. Not by works. Titus 3:5
   2. Not by race
   3. By faith. Rom 4:5
