Gust Pappas and I want to invite you to take part in a new ministry of our church!
Come be a part of the new "Worship Choir"! If you are interested in learning and
singing new songs each week, we want to invite you to take part in the Worship
Choir. Beginning Sunday morning, September 7th, with God's help, the Worship
Choir will be singing at least one song every Sunday morning during the worship
service. Some of the songs will be beautiful anthems of praise accompanied by an
orchestral musical recording, some will be lovely, reverent hymns enhanced by the
beautiful piano talent of Bro. Eddie Crooks and some will be contemporary songs
that are familiar to many of the younger members of our church. All of the songs
will be chosen for the purpose of worshiping our God, expressing our joy and
reverence for Him and inviting the congregation to participate in worshiping Him
through song. Come to the sanctuary next Wednesday night August 13th,
CFT Kickoff Night, at 6:00 if you'd like to hear the songs that we hope to be
singing in September:

September 7th: In Christ Alone
September 14th: Lord Most High
September 21st: Worthy of Worship and
If My People Who Are Called By My Name
September 28th: What The Lord Has Done

Question: When will we practice?
Answer: We will have our first official practice on Wednesday night August 20th
from 6:00-6:40. We will practice each Wednesday night after that. Don't think
of it as practice -
think of it as a chance to come and enjoy some time singing to God!

Question: Is the Worship Choir for adults or for teens?
Answer: Both! The Wednesday night practices are for adults of all ages who
want to participate. Gust will be practicing with the Youth Group, High School
and Middle School classes at other times. There are Youth Group activities on
Wednesday night that we don't want to disrupt. Any adult, high school student
or middle school student is welcome to participate in the Worship Choir!

Question: What's the difference in the Church Choir and the Worship choir?
Answer: The Worship Choir will be made up of people who want to meet
specifically for the purpose of learning new songs, practicing them weekly and
singing them every Sunday morning. Everyone is always, always welcome to
sing in the Church Choir!

Question: Will the congregation be able to participate?
Answer: Words to the songs will be included in the weekly bulletin so the
congregation will be able to sing along with the Worship Choir.

Question: Who's the director of the Worship Choir?
Answer: Gust Pappas will be the director of the Worship Choir. He will be
helping us learn all of the songs and directing us during practices and on Sunday
mornings. Our song director, Bro. Donny Hines, has been kind to offer his support
in any way it is needed. I am just helping Gust with the paperwork, emailing, and administrative tasks related to this new project. If you have any questions, please
feel free to email Gust at gpappas@imagecommunications.us or me at amybrothers@bellsouth.net.

If you think this sounds like something you'd like to do - reply to one of the
email addresses above and let us know so we can get an idea of how many
copies of everything we'll need on Wednesday night!
